Frequently asked questions
How many doses do I need?
MenB is usually given as 2 doses. The pharmacist confirms the right schedule for you at your appointment.
Why are 2 doses needed?
MenB is given as a 2-dose course, which is what provides reliable protection. The pharmacist will help you schedule both doses.
Can my child have it privately?
Yes. Private MenB can be given to older children who missed or were not eligible for the NHS programme. Please bring any vaccination records you have.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Please book so the pharmacist can complete a suitability check before giving the vaccine.
