Frequently asked questions
Do I need this vaccine for Hajj or Umrah?
Yes. Saudi Arabia requires proof of ACWY vaccination for pilgrim visas, given at least 10 days before arrival. We issue the certificate at your appointment.
How long is the certificate valid?
Validity is set by the Saudi authorities and depends on the vaccine type, typically 3 to 5 years. We will confirm current requirements when you book.
I had the MenACWY vaccine at school. Do I need it again?
Possibly not, if it is still within validity and you have proof. For Hajj you need documentation, so bring any vaccination records to your appointment.
Does it protect against all meningitis?
No vaccine covers every strain. ACWY covers four important groups. Remain alert to symptoms such as severe headache, stiff neck, fever and rash.
