Overview
A free NHS 4CMenB (Bexsero) vaccination offered under a time-limited Autumn 2026 programme for eligible young people.

Eligibility checked first
We confirm your date of birth and circumstances against the programme criteria, so please bring ID showing your date of birth.
Two free doses
The course is two doses at least four weeks apart, at no cost, with first doses available until 31 December 2026 and second doses until 31 March 2027.
NHS commissioned service
North Harrow Clinic, inside Health Pharmacy, is commissioned to deliver the NHS time-limited 4CMenB programme for eligible patients.

Who this service is for
Young people born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 (school Year 13 in 2025/26)
Anyone born on or after 21 July 2001 starting undergraduate higher education for the first time
Anyone born on or after 21 July 2001 moving into residential further education accommodation or halls for the first time
Eligible people returning for their second dose
Anyone outside the programme eligibility criteria, who can have the Meningitis B vaccination privately instead
Anyone who has completed a Bexsero course within the last five years
Anyone who has had a severe reaction to a previous Meningitis B vaccine
Anyone allergic to any component of the vaccine
Anyone who has previously had a Bexsero dose, where we check what is still needed
People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
Anyone currently unwell with a fever, where vaccination is usually deferred
Our clinician will review your medical history and travel plans before confirming whether this service is suitable for you.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
Nothing. This is a free NHS vaccination for eligible patients.
How many doses do I need?
Usually 2 doses, given 4 weeks apart. If you have had a Meningitis B vaccine before, the pharmacist will check what you still need. Please book your second appointment too.
What do I need to bring?
ID showing your date of birth, plus any vaccination records you have.
What if I'm not eligible for the NHS vaccine?
We also offer Meningitis B privately — for example if you need it for work or travel, or fall outside the NHS eligibility groups. Ask us and we'll help you arrange it.
