Overview
This combined vaccine protects against both hepatitis A and hepatitis B in a single injection, meaning fewer appointments and fewer needles.

Two infections, one injection
Rather than two separate vaccine courses, the combined vaccine covers both in the same dose.
Standard or accelerated schedule
The usual course is three doses over six months, with a faster schedule available if you are travelling soon.

Frequently asked questions
How many doses do I need?
A full course is 3 doses. The standard schedule runs over 6 months, but accelerated schedules over 3 to 4 weeks are available if you are travelling soon, sometimes with a fourth dose at 12 months.
I am travelling soon. Is it too late?
Not necessarily. An accelerated course can be completed in as little as 3 weeks. Book promptly and we will plan the schedule around your departure.
How long does protection last?
After a completed course, most healthy adults have long-lasting protection and many do not need routine boosters. We will advise based on your risk.
Is there a combined hepatitis A and B vaccine?
Yes, a combined vaccine is available and can be a convenient option if you need protection against both. Ask at your assessment.
